The Gaganyaan Mission is set to send the first Indian astronaut to space by late 2024 or early 2026. In ocean exploration, the Deep Sea Mission aims to deploy a human 6,000 metres below sea level, marking a historic milestone. India has launched 432 foreign satellites from Sriharikota, with 90% of these launches achieved in the last decade.

December 16th 2024 Current Affairs : Hemant Soren, leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), took the oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time on November 28. The oath-taking ceremony, held at Morhabadi Maidan, Ranchi, was administered by Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. The JMM-Congress alliance, led by Soren, secured a decisive victory in the Jharkhand assembly elections, winning 56 seats in the 81-member assembly, surpassing the 41-seat majority mark.
