Previously sold at ₹28 per kg, the price reduction is due to a significant rise in rice and wheat production, driven by excessive rainfall from June to December 2024, and the availability of 556 lakh metric tonnes of rice nationwide.

Captain Alyssa Healy received the trophy from Cricket Australia President and ICC Director Mike at the prestigious ICC Women’s Championship Trophy event in Melbourne. The championship, first introduced in 2014 to promote women’s cricket, expanded from 8 to 10 teams in its third edition (2022-25). Australia topped the ICC Women’s Cricket Points Table with 39 points, followed by India, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand, who qualified directly. Bangladesh, West Indies, Pakistan, Ireland, Scotland, and Thailand will compete in the qualifiers.
