June 20th 2024 Current Affairs : India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Dhoval and America’s NSA Jake Sullivan participated in a meeting on Emerging Technologies (ICET). During the meeting, India and the US agreed to strengthen close cooperation and trade in supply chain, semiconductors and critical minerals. The two countries intend to improve economic and technological relations by expanding closer collaboration in the field of technology.An important agreement was signed under the India-US initiative at the Critical and Emerging Technology (ICET) meeting held in New Delhi on June 17 (Monday). The meeting is aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of semiconductors and critical minerals. India and the US have announced their decision to work closely in this regard, with a view to strengthening technological and economic ties. Through this, both the countries hope to make further progress in the technological sector. India and the US on June 17 (Monday) launched a new strategic semiconductor partnership. This new agreement is important for co-developing semiconductor design and manufacturing processes for munitions. Through this cooperation, the two countries will continue to work closely in the field of technology and push to strengthen defense technology. In the semiconductor industry in India, a new agreement has been signed with Indian and American investors. The agreement is intended to support India’s sustainable semiconductor and information communication technology sector. By working together, investors aim to create a strong complementary environment for this technology sector. Tata Electronics and Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) have signed an agreement to set up India’s first semiconductor fabrication plant (fab) in Dholera, Gujarat. This project is a significant step in India’s semiconductor manufacturing sector and will pave the way for technological and entrepreneurial development in the country. Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Private Limited (TSAT) has decided to set up a semiconductor unit in Morigaon, Assam. This project will play a significant role in the development of technology and industry in Assam. Value-added manufacturing and testing processes from TSAT will take place here, helping to promote semiconductor technology in India.

June 20th 2024 Current Affairs : A comprehensive agreement was proposed at the Swiss peace conference in the Bergen Stock resort on June 16, overturning the peace agreement on the Ukraine region. The representatives of many countries participated in this conference and supported the peaceful solution to the problem of the Ukraine region. This consensus call was given at the two-day Swiss peace conference held at the Bergen Stock Resort. In the absence of Russia, major developing countries such as India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates did not sign this call. .Russia was not invited to this peace conference. But the leaders of most of the countries that participated in it have expressed hope that Russia can agree to the peace agreement. Nuclear safety, food security and exchange of prisoners were discussed at the peace conference. Representatives from more than 100 countries participated in the conference.
