November 6th 2024 Current Affairs : The Kannada short film Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know* has qualified for the 2025 Oscars in the Short Film category for Real Scenes. Created by students from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as part of their final project, the film is directed by Chidananda S. from Mysore, with Nayka as assistant director. The cinematography was done by Suraj Thakur, editing by Manoj V., and voiceover by Abhishek Kadam. This unique folk tale follows a grandmother who escapes with a rooster believed to bring the sunrise each morning.
